Grandma shell bell is in town

Grandma Shell-bell is visiting us here in South Dakota. While i admit the kids have enjoyed her, they seem more excited about her new dog that kept her company for the long drive from Salt Lake City. The kids have LOVED having a dog around. Lorryn is constantly climbing on , drooling on and pulling the dogs ears. The dog is a saint because he just sits there and takes every bit of it. Avery takes him for 3 walks a day. Scott has enjoyed him more than anyone. He wrestles and drags him around the house and yard. I have attached some pictures. I also attached some pictures of Scott and his good Friend Austin. For those of you who don't know, little Austin got bacterial meningitis last fall and had to have his extremities amputated. He spent a few months in the hospital but pulled through like a champ. Scott enjoys playing with him and calls him "my best friend". He wanted to show Austin his grandma's dog. So they played in the yard with the dog and then they decided to race. Austin hopped around while Scott sat on his butt and tried to keep up by hopping on his own rear. Scott is a good kid. I sometimes forget that since Scott can be a challenge at times. Im really proud of him and was concerned that Austins condition would hinder their relationship. Just goes to show......kids are remarkable.

Easter 2010

Easter has come yet again. The kids enjoyed painting and finding eggs and baskets and the whole nine yards. We spent the day in pajamas watching conference and playing games. They had a blast outside of little Lorryn. She is a little under the weather. She cut a new tooth and on top of that has been spiking fevers in 104 degree range. Turns out she has bilateral ear infections and strep throat! No wonder she has been growling like a demon spawn being bathed in holy water. Avery has also been very excited that her "brown skinned" friend has moved into a unit next door. She couldn't be more tickled. Scotts new favorite thing is playing outside. It has warmed up here is South Dakota to the high 60's. It has been nice to get outside and shake off the cabin fever.
